Beverly Jean Miller, 84, died February 16, 2018 at home. Beverly was born May 15, 1933 at Fort Dodge, IA, to Chris and Edna (Matthey) Madsen. She graduated from Wheatland High School in 1951 and continued her education at Jamestown and then CEI Bible College at Oskaloosa, IA where she graduated. She married Earl Miller on August 31, 1957 in Wheatland, ND. They were blessed with five children. Survivors include her children, Kristina Bester of Coon Rapids, MN, Steven & Melinda Miller of Fridley, MN, daughter-in-law Becky Miller of Lino Lakes, MN, Alan & Michele Miller of Lino Lakes, MN, Kevin & Ingrid Miller of Arendal, Norway; 20 grandchildren and significant others, Amy and Jimmy, Beverly, Caroline, David, Harald, Jared and Laura, Jennifer and Bret, Johnny, Katie, Levi, Madalyn, Malorie, Margrethe, Marshall and Carmen, Miranda, Mitchell, Nathan, Oscar, Ruben, Victoria; 6 great grandchildren-Antonio, Callie, Chris, Elijah, Harley, Marc; 1 great great grandson-Jax; Bud and Marilyn (sister) McLean of Wheatland, ND and brother Leslie Madsen of Mount Dora, FL; brother and sisters-in-laws Elnora Miller of Lakeview, MI, Bill and Ruth Behrenwald of Lake City, FL; Nieces, nephews and their families - Tim McLean, Mike McLean, Rhonda and Fred Beall, Pamela and Joel Tooley, Paul and Ellie Madsen, Priscilla and John Kunkle, Connie and John May, Janet Battiste, Noreen Pierson, Dennis and Alice Miller, Bruce and Suzanne Miller, Andy and Barb Behrenwald, Sheryl Yost, Steve Behrenwald. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul Madsen, husband, son Curtis Miller, four brother-in laws and sister in laws, Mary Ruth Madsen, Everett, Donald & Barbara Miller; 3 nephews Wendall, Carl, John; 1 niece Kari and great niece and nephews - Erica, Joshua and Randy. Beverly worked at an orphanage in Washington for a year following her college graduation and before her marriage. Beverly lived her deep faith in God. She served in ministry with her husband Earl until his death in late 2004. Following Earl's death, she moved to Minneapolis in 2005 and continued in ministry the remainder of her health serving at Living Springs Church as an organist, leading a Bible Study at the church and in her neighborhood and other roles. She worked at Orchestra Hall as an usher until 2017. She loved music, reading, gardening, flowers, quilting and games. She delighted in her Lord, family and friends. Service is at Living Springs Church, 8001 University Avenue NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432 at noon. Visitation is at 11 am. A light lunch will follow the service. Internment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Albaton, IA at a later date.
