Doris Lillian Pearson

Pearson, Doris Lillian age 94 of Coon Rapids. Doris Lillian Pearson, Age 94, born March 16, 1925, passed away February 9, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Reuben W. Pearson. She was the last surviving family member of Ole and Tillie Tweet of Eleva, Wisconsin. She is survived by daughter, Anita Edmonds (Al), Sons, Jerome Pearson (Maureen), Kenneth Pearson (Lori), David Pearson, 12 grandchildren (Brenda, Karl, Joy, Jason, Matthew, Jessica, Joseph, Justin, Megan, Janna, Amy and Al) and 25 great grandchildren (Noah, Abbie, Haley, Taylor, Kameron, Zachery, Elizabeth, Andy, Cole, Ciara, Ethan, Emma, Caeden, Elliana, Ava, Silas, Evelyn, Michael, Nathan, Tyler, Dana, Cara, Domonic, Griffin and Delaney) and Tipper her loyal and devoted cat. Doris was living at her home at the time of her stroke. She was still working and driving. She was the "backbone" of the shoe department at Wal-Mart in Fridley, MN. She was very proud of her 20 year career at Wal-Mart. She previously worked at Unity Hospital for 20 years. She lived an active life including snowmobiling, riding her Yamaha 125cc motorcycle, gardening, sewing and an occasional trip to the casino. She was an amazing seamstress and many of the clothes she made are still being worn today! Doris left the farm and lived in Evanston, Illinois working in a defense plant. She went to North Carolina to marry Reuben before he left to be in the invasion of Normandy in WWII. They returned to Wisconsin and then to St. Paul, MN. They eventually settled in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. She was an inspiration to all who know her. Doris was a classy, independent, caring and down to earth special person. There will be a celebration of her life on March 15th 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Kraus-Hartig VFW, 8100 Pleasant View Dr. NE, Spring Lake Park, MN. Thanks Mom!! Your Loving Family
