Eleanor Eva Mullenix

March 20, 1934 — November 5, 2021

Eleanor passed away November 5, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Eva Block, Husband Ken, 2 brother-in-laws, Richard and Don. She is survived by her 4 children, whom she loved dearly, Ray (Jackie) Mullenix; Renae Mullenix; Steve (Patsy) Mullenix; and Deneice Mullenix; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Angie and Artilda, 1 brother, Leonard (Joyce), many relatives, and lifelong friends. Eleanor met Ken, the love of her life, in Sioux Falls, SD. They were married in June 1954. She is fondly remembered for being dressed to the nines, her green thumb, spending all day in the garden, a good game of Rummy, balloons, sweets and a good cup of coffee. We will always remember the fun times we had at the cabins in Forest Lake, MN. Mom was known to say this to us: "Always make sure you have clean underwear on in case you get hurt and need to go to the doctor". When the grandkids would come over to grandmas in the cold weather times, she would give them a dime if they could show her that they were wearing an undershirt. Mom continued her witty humor until she walked hand in hand with God. Services will be held: Kessler and Maguire Funeral Home/Choice Cremation 640 West 7th St St. Paul, MN 55102 Visitation: Wednesday, November 10, 2021 1:00-3:00 pm Memorial service: 3:00-4:00 pm Private Family Interment The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Peace, 2076 St. Anthony Ave., St Paul, MN 55104. They comforted not only mom in her last days, but our entire family as well. We were very relieved when Our Lady of Peace opened their doors to mom. We knew then that her next journey would be a comforting one. Donations in Eleanor's honor are welcomed to Our Lady of Peace.
