Gaylord Albert Johnson

Gaylord Albert Johnson, 89, passed away on May 24, 2026, just two days before his 90th birthday. He is survived by his longtime companion, Jeanette (Jan) Ylinen; son, Steven Johnson and wife, Julia; daughter, Janelle Malrick; and granddaughter, Tawny Boleman and husband, Alex. He also shared a close and loving relationship with Jan’s children and grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on June 17, 2026 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 61 Mississippi Street NE, Fridley, MN 55432. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a celebration of life service following at 11:00 a.m. We will continue the celebration with lunch starting at 12:00 p.m. at Adagio’s Pizza Factory, 2052 Silver Lake Road, New Brighton, MN 55112.
