Gloria Ann Sannes

Gloria Ann Sannes, age 88, of Blaine, passed away at her home on October 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her companion, Obert Sannes; son, Victor Sannes; granddaughter, Laura. Gloria was born on the Lemier Farm near Neche, ND to Eva and Edgar Kelm. She graduated from and received degrees from her high school in Bathgate, ND and also Aakers Buisness in Grand Forks, ND. On February 14, 1949, Gloria married Obert Vance Sannes and made their home in Grand Forks. They welcomed three children; Vance, Victor and Valerie. The family moved then moved to Fargo and settled in Moorhead, MN soon after. Gloria worked for Humm's Distributing and the Village Family Service Center (formerly, Children's Village). She then moved to St. Anthony, MN and Arden Hills. While in the cities Gloria worked for Muska Lighting and Gratz Sewing Center as an educator for Viking/Husqvarna sewing machines. In 2002, Gloria retired and moved to Las Vegas before moving to Columbia Heights in 2013. In 2017 Gloria moved to Edgewood in Blaine. Her lifelong hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, ceramics and reading. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her son, Vance (LeAnn) Sannes; daughter, Valerie (Phillip) Kvamme; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
