Gordon "Gordy" Lee Wax

Gordy, 67 Northeast Minneapolis passed away after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by parents A. Greg Wax, and Lois Wax . He is survived by brothers Gary(Linda), Greg(Linda) , Galen ( Angie) and sister Denice .

Gordy was a great guy to all who knew him . He cared about his community and would volunteer often. We will have a private ceremony for immediate family in the days to come.

Gordy graduated from Spring Lake Park High School, class of 1976 . He was voted most likely to succeed, and most service to school. He later graduated from Hamline University with a degree in Philosophy . He taught philosophy for many years at Anoka Ramsey Community College. Later , he was a store manager for Frattallones Hardware .

Gordy loved animals . For many years, he’d get up early to walk his dog Kita. He adopted many cats over the years. He was a volunteer dog-walker at a local humane society.

He spent a lot of time with the many nieces and nephews.

Gordy was a huge supporter of the Red Cross and donated many pints of blood over the years. If you are inclined, please send donations to the Red Cross, or if you prefer, make a blood donation.
