Gregory John Nelson

Gregory John Nelson Jr., age 59, passed away of stage 4 lung cancer at HCMC hospital in the early morning of July 4, 2025

Greg was born on February 19, 1966 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Diane Nelson and Gregory Nelson Sr. He graduated high school at Corvallis High in Corvallis, Oregon before spending some time in the Marines. His last job was his favorite- being a contractor/installer.

Greg loved to work with his hands building and fixing anything he could find. He also loved to play poker, watch old westerns, work on cars, and collect diecast cars or really anything collectable. He was selfless, a person willing to actually give the shirt off his back to lift you up.

Gregory is survived by his Mother, Diane Nelson; Step-Mother, LaVaun Nelson; Brother, Richard "Duke" Nelson; Sisters, Barbra Schulz and Heidi Nelson; and Son, Michael Wollen. He will be missed for eternity.
