On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, Janice Joy Chapman (McDaniels) loving wife and mother of four, passed away at age eighty-two. Unexpected cancer caught many by surprise. She passed away in Anoka Minnesota with her family at her bedside.
Janice graduated from High School in Eagle Grove Iowa and married Jerry Chapman on April 3, 1959. After a brief time in California with her husband, she took residence in Minnesota where she lived the rest of her life ending in Saint Michael. She made her house a home.
Janice was foremost a caring and loving mother. She enjoyed nurturing the children and watching them as they made their way through school and sports activities. Janice was also fond of her dogs and enjoyed feeding birds and watching them with their young ones. The birds were a big part of her peaceful time at the cabin on Big Chippewa Lake. She enjoyed bowling and golf with her lady friends.
Janice is survived by her husband Jerry and their children; Jeffery Chapman, Jody Thompson (William), Jill Fuller (Jerry), Jason Chapman (Dakota), Grandchildren Dustin Thompson (Danielle Benis), Rachel Quigley (Zach), Allie Rochon (John), and great-grandchildren Cayden Quigley and Parker Rochon; sister, Joan Baker (Larry); many relatives and good friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin II and Agnes McDaniels, brother Benjamin III, and grandson Ryan Thompson.
Janice never lost that beautiful smile. A family celebration of life is to be held in the future.
