Marilee Soderquist

Marilee Hazel Soderquist (75) died of covid-19 on Thursday November 5, 2020 in Coon Rapids, MN. She was born in Eau Claire, WI on January 22, 1945 to Merlin and Mary Jane Belden. Marilee is survived by two daughters, Teresa Klostreich (Kent) and Sonia Simms (Don); 7 grandchildren: Chris Soderquist, Klaire Hubbard, Garrett Robinson, Thomas Schaefer, Adam Schaefer, Andrew Schaefer and Kyle Odenthal; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Kathy Donahue, Becky Helgestad (Terry) and brother Jeff Belden (Anita) and 6 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 50 years, Kenneth Delano Soderquist (December 28, 2017) and both parents as well as her brothers Fred and Bruce Belden. She was an avid quilter for many years, and also made crocheted afghans, hats and scarves. She attended First Congregational Church of Christ in Robinsdale for many years and more recently was a member of Emmanual Christian Center in Spring Lake Park and was a devout Christian until her death. There will be no service at this time. We are planning to have an outdoor service at Fort Snelling this summer if travel is permitted at that time.
