Roger James (Jim) Paine, age 74, of Cambridge passed on November 4th, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Genny, and brother, Denny. He is survived by life partner, Dorothy (Dot), his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, along with other relatives and many close friends. Jim graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1964. He enlisted and honorably served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a gunner on a PBR riverboat. He had a successful business career at York. Jim had a passion for the outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and countless annual events with many lifelong friends. Jim was an avid athlete and loved running. He ran in many local events and successfully finished the Boston Marathon in 1991. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, and watching the Twins and Vikings. He loved going to the races with brother Denny, to which the Indy 500 was their grand hurrah. At the end of every day, Jim was famous for saying he would have "just one more" beer. He was always looking forward to the next opportunity to entertain others and make more memories. We look forward to celebrating Jim's life at a date to be determined in 2021. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.
