Sammy Ray Abernathy, age 77, of Anoka, passed away on December 1st, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mattie (Gibbs) Abernathy; brothers, Paul Abernathy, Otto Abernathy, Jim Abernathy; sister, Betty Cooley; beloved grandmother, Maude Gibbs; niece, Cindy Lawyer. He will be missed by his sisters, Mary Ashmore and Nancy Hudson, of Charleston, Illinois; brother, "Junie" Perry; many relatives and a host of friends from his Eaglebrook Church Community. Visitation 1 hour before service. Celebration of Life 2pm Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Choice Cremation, 7398 University Avenue NE, Fridley.
