Susan Marie Schoenecker

Susan Marie Schoenecker, 64, of Eden Prairie, MN. Sue was the daughter of, and predeceased by Guy Schoenecker (Barb) and Joyce DeHarpporte (Ron). Sue was one of eight siblings. She was a very intelligent, curious, inventive, social person who was at her best when caring for others and socializing with people she loved. Generous with her time and warm of heart, she was a natural with children and worked in childcare for many years. Sue loved to care for her young nieces & nephews when asked and continued through her life to cherish them with their pictures throughout her home. She had a gift for music and loved playing the harmonica, piano and singing. She was a sports fan and grew up playing softball and hockey at a time before girls’ athletics were popular. She loved a good Twins or North Stars game with her brothers, mother and step father. Throughout her life, Sue loved to fish and spent many hours fishing with her Dad in her younger years Whether it was playing hockey in the driveway or on Lake Pamela, doing cannon balls off a dock or diving board, or celebrating at family occasions, Sue jumped in with enthusiasm. She eagerly sought out community in support of others and donated much of her time to volunteer efforts. Sue loved to laugh, play games, have fun and cherished her dog companions memorably “Buddy”. Sue had a special technical aptitude and could fix things when others couldn't.  Sue worked hard to manage her mental health, which proved challenging in her later years. She is mourned by her stepfather, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all those who knew both her kindness and her struggles. There will be a chapel prayer service at 11am on June 30, 2025 at Pax Christi Catholic Church at 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie immediately followed by a Celebration of Life picnic gathering at Staring Lake Park at 14800 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN. All who knew and cared about Sue are welcome.
