Susan Marie Schoenecker, 64, of Eden Prairie, MN. Sue was the daughter of Guy Schoenecker (Barb Schoenecker) and Joyce DeHarpporte (Ron DeHarpporte). Sue was one of eight siblings. She was a smart, curious, inventive, social person who was at her best when caring for others and helping those in need. Generous and warm, she was a natural with children and worked in childcare for many years. She never said “no” if she was asked to watch her nieces & nephews when they were young and continued to cherish them with their pictures throughout her home. She had a gift for music and loved playing the piano and singing. She was a sports fan and grew up playing softball and hockey at a time before girls’ athletics were popular, and she loved a good Twins game with her brothers or stepfather, Ron. Sue loved to fish and spent many hours with her Dad fishing when she was young. Whether it was tubing down the St. Croix River, playing pond hockey on Lake Pamela, or doing cannon balls off a dock or diving board, Sue jumped in with enthusiasm. She eagerly sought out community in support of others and donated much of her time to volunteer efforts. Sue loved to laugh, play games, have fun and cherished her dog companions especially “Buddy”. Sue worked hard to manage her mental health, which proved challenging in her later years. She is mourned by her stepfather, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all those who knew both her kindness and her struggles. There will be a chapel service at 11am on June 30, 2025 at Pax Christi Catholic Church at 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie immediately followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at Staring Lake Park at 14800 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN. All who knew and cared about Sue are welcome.
