Teri Lynn Meagher (Cease), 59, of Blaine, MN, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her closest loved ones. She was born on May 8, 1965, to George K. Cease and Mary Lou Cease (Pieper). She grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and attended Edison High School.
In an effort to improve a childhood illness, Aplastic Anemia, she received a bone marrow transplant in the fall of 2023. During the 275 days post-transplant, a plethora of complications occurred, earning her the nickname “Tenacious Teri,” a testament to her unwavering positivity and grit.
Teri is survived by her two children, Alisha (Brandon) Duren and Jesse (Karest) Meagher, who carry forward her legacy; her grandchildren, Gabriel and Emilia; her partner, Dan Regel; her former husband and close friend, Daniel Meagher; her brothers and sister, George, Lori, Curt (Bird)(deceased), Brad; her nieces and nephews, Curtis, Angie, Savannah, Travis (deceased), Jody, Georgie, Courtney, Mickey, Brittney; and a network of family and dear friends, all of whom were touched by her presence.
Teri’s most cherished moments were family gatherings, holidays, and sporting events. Her deep-seated love for family will be especially missed. Her legacy of love and strength will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Teri Meagher’s life will be held in her honor at Columbia Manor, 3300 Central Ave NE, on Thursday, August 8th, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
