Theresa Catherine People

Our dear sister in Christ, Theresa C. People, age 79, went to be with our Lord, May 7, 2026.

Theresa,”Terri”, loved her Lord and her Catholic faith. This kept her strong during hard times in life.

Terri was an avid reader and loved to garden. She loved being married to her husband Colvert and loved family, especially her grandchildren, whom she talked about all the time. Her dog boomer, also was the love of her life. Terri also, love to cook and bake.

Terri was a graduate of Genoa area high school, 1964. She did very well and loved school. Later in life her job with US foods took her to Saint Paul, Minnesota, which she worked there 10 to 12 years.

Terri leaves behind her husband, Colvert E. Peoples; daughter, Julie (Maurice) Clay; son, Patrick (Rhonda) Wheatley; grandchildren, Alyssa, Isaiah, Kiarra and Jordan; sisters, Lana (Jim) Aldrich, Mary Yonker, Jessie (Mike) Hineline; brother, Mark (Stephanie) Floro, and many nieces and nephews.  She will be coming home to Genoa, Ohio and her mass will be said at Our Lady Of Lourdes, Catholic Church and burial in Clay-Genoa Cemetery.
