Thomas Moore

Age 86 Of St. Paul, MN Passed away on August 27, 2013 at home after a brief and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by parents Thomas and Mildred, and brother Darwin Doc. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean Jovina Sauro; Children, Mark, Christine Michael Moore, Patrick Michele, Michele, Laura Tiffany, Matthew Mary, Joseph, and Andrea; Grandchildren, Jason Craig Ashby, Jesse Melissa, Matt, Nick, Molly Johnny Solomon, Nate, Luke, Shaun, Cari, Heather, Ryan Jamie, Eric, Hayley, Brandon, and Samantha; and Great-Grandchildren, Logan, Tyler, Malaina, Millie and Abel. Tom was a talented musician; a jazz pianist, musical arranger, jazz theory teacher, as well as an expert in piano tuning and repair. In addition he was a Life Member of Twin Cities Musicians Union Local 30-73 and a past member of the Saint Paul Ski Club. He had a great love of sports and in his lifetime played baseball, ski-jumped, golfed, ran, and for the past 40 or so years thoroughly enjoyed playing tennis at MLK and St. Paul Indoor Tennis. Tom's family wishes to thank the HealthEast Hospice Care Team for the warm and compassionate care they gave him, and extended to the family, during his final days. Tom will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. A celebration of his life will be held at a date to be announced, and please contact the family for additional information.
