She loved taking care of her family, friends, neighborhood kids and colleagues. Hali was a tiny lady with an enormous heart and a spitfire personality that will always be remembered.
Hali enjoyed being in the sunshine, going to the beach, gardening, singing karaoke, dancing, watching Vikings games and most of all, cooking and serving others. She was the happiest when she was working and volunteering to support our veterans. She was a proud member of the Palmer Lake VFW Auxiliary where she formed countless unforgettable relationships with others. She loved to have a good time and was always the life of the party. Her loss leaves an emptiness that will never be filled, but the memories will be in our hearts forever.

I always had fun going to Hali's for sleepovers with my cousins as a child. Sheila and I would stay up late talking and watching TV, but Hali didn't mind, even though we were loud and kept her awake. She would make us good food and sometimes get us take out. What was really cool was when she would take us to the beach or the local wading pool. I also remember that she would let us watch the soap operas or walk all the way to the corner store for candy. She was really funny and told the greatest detailed stories. I will always cherish the memories.
I knew Hali from Post 230 in the Heights. Hali always had a smile on her face and was ready to help with any project. She was a great cook and often shared her special treats at football Sundays. May all the great memories you have of your Mom and Grandmother be a comfort to you. MaryAnn O'Brien
